Course Overview: This 30-hour, instructor-led course is divided into eighteen modules. The first 20 hours are focus on OLAP fundamentals. In that time, students learn the ins and outs of dimensions, cubes, and the various interfaces and wizards in Analysis Manager, the administrative front end for Analysis Services. After mastering the fundamentals, students then work with more advanced features of Analysis Services. Throughout the later modules, students create and interact with cubes to highlight the core and advanced Analysis Services components and functionality. Throughout the course, students are tested on what they learn by performing many, many labs, a case study module. Module 1 - Introduction to Data Warehousing and OLAP: Introduces students to data warehousing and online analytical processing Module 2 - Introducing Analysis Manager Wizards: Gives students a comprehensive introduction to cube building fundamentals by using the Analysis Manager wizards. Module 3 - Understanding Analysis Services Architecture: Provides an architectural foundation for the various system components. Module 4 - Building Dimensions Using the Dimension Editor: Teaches students about the Dimension Editor and how to use it to create and manage dimensions.
