Oracle DBA Project Course Syllabus
The project is designed for students who have taken some
Oracle training courses either DBA track or developer track. This project
has the following two goals:
· Provide students with the deep insight of the
full database and software design and development circle and all basic
skills needed to be a successful Oracle DBA or developer.
· Prepare students for technical interviews.
·
Specifically, after this project, students will be able to:
¨ write database and software requirements;
¨ physically implement these requirements;
¨ use Ewin to do logical and physical database design and generate
DDL for creating physical Oracle database;
¨ create database objects, such as tables, indexes with proper physical
properties;
¨ effectively manage user accounts;
¨ effectively manipulate database data;
¨ write effective SQL queries;
¨ time and tune queries using AUTOTRACE and TIME utilities;
¨ create functions, procedures, packages and triggers using PL/SQL;
¨ develop user friendly forms and reports;
¨ integrate forms and reports into an application;
¨ test and trouble-shoot your application and then deploy it successfully.
